Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-11
The service
Campfire Chords displays guitar chords over the lyrics of songs you play in supported players — currently Spotify and YouTube Music — for your personal practice and enjoyment. It works only where the player's lyrics view is available (on Spotify that typically requires Premium).
Personal use
Campfire Chords is for personal, non-commercial use. Don't redistribute chord data obtained through the service, resell access, script the API outside the extension, or attempt to circumvent plan limits.
Third-party software and services
The desktop version installs and relies on Spicetify, a third-party customization tool for the Spotify desktop app. Spotify updates can temporarily disable it until the installer is re-run. Campfire Chords is an independent project, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify AB or Google LLC; using third-party modifications may not be endorsed by Spotify.
Availability
The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We aim for it to work all the time, but chord matching, lyrics availability, and the service itself may be interrupted, subject to usage limits, or changed. During beta, features and limits may change without notice.
Subscriptions
Paid plans, when available, are sold by a payment provider acting as merchant of record; their checkout terms govern the purchase itself. Plan benefits, limits, and the refund policy are described on this site. You can cancel anytime; your plan runs to the end of the paid period.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Campfire Chords is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
